Last updated: December 22, 2025

Verifying your Meta Business confirms your business identity with Meta and unlocks access to critical advertising and security features.

Verification is strongly recommended if you:

  • Run ads at scale

  • Manage multiple assets (ad accounts, pages, datasets)

  • Want to avoid account restrictions or spending limits

This guide explains how to verify your business using Meta Business Suite.

What verification unlocks

Once verified, your business gains:

  • Increased account trust and stability

  • Access to Meta’s full advertising capabilities

  • Fewer restrictions on ad accounts and spending

  • Improved recovery options if issues occur

Step 1: Check if verification is required

  1. Go to Meta Business Suite

  2. Open Business Settings

  3. Navigate to Business info

If you see Start verification, your business is not yet verified and needs to complete this process.

Step 2: Start business verification

  1. In Business info or Security Center, click Start verification

  2. Enter your:

    • Legal business name

    • Business address

    • Website domain

Important:
All information must match your official business records exactly.

Step 3: Submit business documents

Meta will ask you to upload one or more official documents, such as:

  • Business registration certificate

  • Tax certificate

  • Utility bill (showing business name and address)

Depending on your country, you may also be asked to:

  • Verify your business phone number via SMS or phone call

Step 4: Wait for review

  • Verification usually takes a few days, but can take longer in some cases

  • You can track status in:
    Business Settings → Security Center

If verification is rejected

  • Review the rejection reason

  • Ensure documents are clear and up to date

  • Resubmit with corrected information
