No Meta product catalog found – how to create one

If you see this message, it means no product catalog is currently connected to your Meta Business.
This is common and easy to fix.
Marketer requires a Meta product catalog that is synced from Shopify in order to run catalog-based campaigns.
Why this happens
A Meta product catalog is only created when:
The Facebook & Instagram sales channel is installed in Shopify
Products are synced from Shopify to Meta
If this hasn’t been completed yet, no catalog will be available to select.
How to create a Meta product catalog from Shopify
Follow these steps:
Step 1: Open Shopify Admin
Go to:
https://admin.shopify.com/
Step 2: Open the Facebook & Instagram app
Go to Settings → Apps and sales channels
Open Facebook & Instagram
Step 3: Complete setup (if not already done)
Make sure:
A Facebook Page is connected
A Meta Business Portfolio is selected
An Ad account is connected
Step 4: Sync products to Meta
In the Facebook & Instagram app, go to Overview or Settings
Enable product syncing
Select which products should be available (all or specific collections)
Shopify will now automatically:
Create a Meta product catalog
Sync your products into it
When the catalog becomes available
Catalog creation usually happens automatically
Products may take some time to appear
Once created, the catalog will be selectable in Marketer
No manual catalog setup in Meta is required.
Important notes
The catalog must belong to the same Meta Business used during onboarding
Products must comply with Meta’s commerce policies
Changes in Shopify automatically sync to the catalog
Summary
The message appears when no Meta product catalog exists
The catalog is created through Shopify, not manually in Meta
Installing and setting up Facebook & Instagram in Shopify resolves this
Once synced, the catalog will be available in Marketer
