What data marketer does and does not track

Last updated: December 22, 2025

Marketer connects to Shopify, Meta, and Google to give you a clear overview of store performance and paid campaign results.

Each platform contributes different types of data, and together they give you a complete picture.

Shopify data in Marketer

From Shopify, Marketer shows store-level performance metrics, including:

  • Revenue

  • Orders

  • Average order value (AOV)

This data reflects all sales in your store, regardless of where they come from, such as:

  • Paid ads

  • Organic traffic

  • Email

  • Direct visits

Shopify represents your overall store performance.

Meta and Google data in Marketer

From Meta and Google, Marketer shows performance data for campaigns created and managed through the Marketer app.

For these campaigns, you’ll see metrics such as:

  • Spend

  • Sales

  • Net revenue

  • ROAS

  • Impressions

  • Clicks

  • CTR

  • Orders

  • AOV

  • CPA

This view helps you evaluate how your paid campaigns are performing on each platform.

How to read the numbers

Because Shopify reflects total store performance and Meta/Google reflect campaign performance, the numbers serve different purposes.

A simple way to think about it:

  • Shopify shows how the store is performing overall

  • Meta and Google show how campaigns run via Marketer are performing

Both perspectives are useful and complement each other.

Summary

  • Marketer connects to Shopify, Meta, and Google

  • Shopify data shows total store revenue, orders, and AOV

  • Meta and Google data show detailed performance for campaigns run via Marketer

  • Differences between totals and campaign results are expected

This structure keeps reporting clear and easy to understand.
